segregsmall: A command to estimate segregation in the presence of small units

Suppose that a population, composed of minority and majority group, is allocated into units, which can be neighborhoods, firms, classrooms, etc. Qualitatively, there some segregation whenever allocation leads to the concentration individuals in units more than others. Quantitative measures have struggled with small-unit bias. When contain few individuals, indices based on shares are upward biased. For instance, they would point positive amount even when strictly random. The command segregsmall implements three recent methods correcting for such bias: nonparametric, partial identification approach D’Haultfœuille Rathelot (2017, Economics 8: 39–73); parametric model (2012, Journal Business & Economic Statistics 30: 546–553); linear correction Carrington Troske (1997, 15: 402–409). package also allows conditional analyses, namely, accounting characteristics or units.
